30 for 30 a Great Success for Duarte
Duarte Kiwanis President Mirna de Lira Lopez had an inspirational idea. She wanted to combine her 30th birthday party and her installation as Duarte Kiwanis President. The 30 for 30 event resulted in over $1,700 being shared with 30 charities. Checks were given to those participating organizations who are members of the Duarte Community Coordinating Council at the DCCC October meeting. Very pleased to receive checks, and shown above, are representatives of the Duarte Historical Society, Duarte Rotary Club, Duarte Education Foundation's Music Matters, Friends of the Duarte Library, Duarte Chamber of Commerce, Duarte Woman's Club, Santa Anita Family YMCA and NAACP-ACTSO. Check Out the Selfies Taken at the 30 for 30 Fundraiser![]()
