As many of you know, our former CEO, Shoshana Puccia left the Chamber to pursue employment within her daughter’s school. I have also stepped into a new leadership role within the Chamber now serving as the President of the Board Directors, succeeding Dillon Wang of First Citizens Bank.

First and foremost, I want to take a moment to express our heartfelt gratitude to Dillon Wang for his outstanding service as the former Board President. His tireless dedication and leadership have significantly impacted our community and the Chamber's mission. Dillon, we thank you for your contributions, and we wish you all the best in your future endeavors.

As I assume the role of President, I do so with a deep sense of commitment to the Chamber's mission, which is at the core of our endeavors. Our mission states, "We exist to create an environment that will promote and encourage business to succeed while enhancing its relationship with the surrounding community." This mission deeply resonates with me, both on a personal and professional level. I firmly believe that a thriving business community is the backbone of a strong and vibrant Duarte. By strengthening the bonds within our community, we can create an environment where businesses flourish and, in turn, enrich the lives of our residents.

My decision to serve the Duarte community through the Chamber is driven by my passion for this city. As Principal of the California School of the Arts-San Gabriel Valley, I find myself in awe of the transformational work and remarkable achievements that we have accomplished as a school community. CSArts-SGV is currently rated as the #1 public charter school in California and #4 best arts high school in America. This success represents what can be achieved when residents, schools, and local industry come together in mutual support of a common goal. I believe that, together, we can shape a future where businesses, schools, medical facilities, and public services thrive, and our community prospers. I am proud to serve alongside our Board of Directors. These local leaders offer a variety of perspectives and innovative ideas to help promote the economic development of our community.

In this new chapter, I encourage all Duarte businesses and residents to consider becoming Chamber members. By joining our Chamber and actively participating in Chamber-related events, you not only open doors to invaluable networking opportunities but also contribute to the growth and vitality of our community.

I am genuinely excited about the journey ahead, and I look forward to collaborating with all of you, our vibrant Duarte community. Together, we can build a stronger, more prosperous Duarte, where businesses succeed, and our community thrives.
